22nd October marked the opening for Banggok’s Traditional Soy Sauce Factory, Jangikneunmaeul. Although it has been around for a couple of decades, it has changed hands and went through a revamp, making it more modern and up to date with the current trends and needs.

New operators are insisting on using only Banggok produced soybeans and processed under strict hygiene laws, their products scream quality and pride. With never ending rows of pots containing fermenting soy, traditional methods are still used to give the unique flavor to the everyday tabletop meals of Korea.

Korean fermented soybean paste, various types of chili paste, and traditional home soy sauce are available for sale, and they also offer a wide range of paste making experiences through Dokkaebi Experience Town.
